A Foundation for Flourishing

A School You Can Trust

Every child should have a positive, nurturing school experience, and every parent should feel at ease each morning at drop-off.  Our students are mentored by teachers who love, support, and challenge them to grow in knowledge and in faith.

As an accredited school, we create classrooms characterized by student engagement, high-level learning, and individualized attention.  As followers of Christ, we desire a school environment where students feel safe to grow and live out their Christian faith.  As partners, we value strong parent-teacher relationships marked by clear and consistent communication and parent involvement.  As a community, we believe that all children are uniquely made in the image of God, have immeasurable value, and should have access to educational opportunities that prepare them for the next phase of school.

Language Arts

Beginning in the earliest grades, mastering phonics, vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension skills provides the foundation for literate students.  By the end of elementary school, students are writing five-paragraph research papers and reading and discussing classic literature.

Mathematics

Using a Singapore approach, students develop number sense and mental math skills to form a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.  Using various types of modeling and representations, students learn to analyze and solve complex math problems.

Kids use paper bags as lungs, breathing through straws.

Science

Focusing on the scientific method, students discover the beauty and logic of God’s creation.  Emphasizing experimentation, students go beyond textbook memorization to discover, evaluate, and apply scientific principles.

History

Everyone loves stories.  By using a narrative style, weaving in geography, and studying the ages chronologically, teachers draw students into God’s metanarrative of human triumphs and failures and help them to realize that they too are a part of God’s redemptive story.

Christian Worldview

Our hope is that students will fall in love with Christ and grow in their commitment to the Christian faith as they learn the Scriptures through study, memorization, and song.  Teaching Christian doctrine in a systematic manner provides students with the skills to develop and apply a biblical worldview to all areas of life.
