
Admissions Process
Choosing the right school for your children is an important decision, and we are here to help you navigate this process.
Step 1: Visit the School
Prospective parents are invited to schedule an in-person visit to the school. For families unable to to meet in person, virtual visits can also be scheduled. Appointments generally last about 45 minutes. Request a time by scheduling a visit or by contacting Kimberly Moore, Executive Director, at 434-326-1145 ext. 2 or kmoore@cca-va.org.
Step 2: Submit an Application
Complete and print the Application for Enrollment for full-time students, or the Application for Enrollment — Part-time Middle School and High School (please see Information for Enrolling Part-time Students).
Mail the application and application fee to Community Christian Academy, PO Box 6659, Charlottesville, VA 22906 or email the application to Kimberly Moore, Executive Director, at kmoore@cca-va.org and pay the application fee online.
Step 3: Submit Documentation
For families applying for financial aid, submit a copy of the previous year’s 1040 tax forms.
If your child is:
Entering kindergarten or transferring from homeschool:
Submit copies of your child’s:
- birth certificate
- immunization record
- Commonwealth of Virginia school entrance health form
Transferring from another school:
Submit a copy of the Request to Release School Records form
Step 4: Complete Admissions Testing
Applicants for kindergarten and first grades do not complete entrance testing. Applicants for second grade and above complete the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) tests in reading, math, and language.
Step 5: Complete Enrollment
Once you have received notification of your child’s acceptance:
- Sign an enrollment contract
- Review resources for current families for important student information.
Priority and Rolling Admissions
Current students and their siblings are given priority concerning enrollment for the following year. For remaining openings, new family applications are considered on a first-come-first-served basis.
Important Deadlines
January 15
Priority deadline for current students to complete the re-enrollment process.
February 1
Priority deadline for prospective families to submit applications for consideration in the first round of admissions offers.
March 1
Deadline for submitting 1040 tax forms for scholarship eligibility determination.
